Pay Rate: Up to £17.59 per hour PAYE depending on experience
Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 6-7 months
City: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Seeking experienced candidate who could start immediately.
The purpose of the role is to manage co-ordinate and monitor building services appointments on a daily basis including reallocation of work to operatives to ensure appointments are achieved on target during sickness absence, holiday periods and prioritise jobs based on urgency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage appointments in close liaison with operatives, supervisors, and technical Coordinators and the customer service centre to ensure clear communications are Maintained and customers enquiries are addressed within deadlines.
Allocate work effectively in line with volume and time required to complete jobs to ensure that trades operatives and subcontractors achieve performance levels.
Analyse customer satisfaction rates and make recommendations to ensure that Targets are achieved.
Support the team supervisor with the day-to-day work allocation to staff following agreed procedures and manage the work stream planning, including making informed decisions as necessary regarding allocation and distribution of workload in their absence; and ensure that appropriate procedures and health and safety legislation are complied with.
Liaise closely with housing management team to address repair enquiries and provide advice to resolve repair queries/problems.
Co-ordinate response to customer’s complaints and queries ensuring that they are addressed in line with corporate policy and procedures.
Monitor the status and completion of sub-contractors work ensuring that work carried out are accurately recorded and are within agreed timescale and budget.
Liaise with the Supplies and Purchasing service to ensure that materials and equipment requirements reflect contract specification and service needs and make recommendations/communicate any changes required.
Raise building repair jobs within the management system when necessary.
Collate and produce reports, including confidential and sensitive information.
Monitor performance to ensure service delivery and customer satisfaction targets are achieved.
Ensure that building services works carried out by trade operatives and sub-contractors are accurately recorded and processed to deadline.
Provide support to the Repairs Supervisor to ensure service runs smoothly at all times.

Qualifications:
Building construction or trade related qualification (at NVQ 3/ONC or equivalent or equivalent proven ability/experience).
High standard of English and numeracy (at GCSE A-C or equivalent).
Experience.
Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Must have experience of working in the social housing sector.
Relevant experience of work planning and utilising.
Relevant experience of repairs and maintenance sector.
Experience of a customer focused service.
Must have worked in a similar role with a trade based workforce
Have a good understanding of property maintenance and able to demonstrate a good understanding of working practices in construction and its terminology.
Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation in relation to property maintenance.
Maintain filing systems.
Skills & Abilities:
Advanced keyboard and use of standard office software skills
Able to manage email requests on a daily basis.
Highly developed coordination skills.
Highly developed communication skills.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
