Student Analytics, Insights and Modelling, Registry Services
Full-Time: 35 Hours per Week
Open-Ended Contract – Permanent

The Opportunity:

This is an open-ended position within the Student Analytics, Insights and Modelling team in Registry Services.

The Reporting Analyst role involves working with a diverse range of data on the student population, their teaching, and their administration. The team supports operational reporting needs for all areas of the University, data provision to other University systems and strategic analysis and management information datasets, as well as answering Freedom of Information and other external data requests. You will have an interest both in databases, data quality and modelling, and in the wider University's activities teaching and supporting our students.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Enthusiasm for analysing large, complex datasets and data flows between systems, and for mapping these to University operations and strategy
  • Experience in a data analysis role(s) that demonstrates literacy, numeracy and analytical skills
  • Experience of report writing with SQL and/or BusinessObjects Web Intelligence
  • Experience in developing strong working relationships across organisational boundaries, with the ability to influence and organise colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proven ability to work autonomously and balance competing demands
