Job description

DAS UK Group, a market-leading insurance and legal services provider, has an exciting new opportunity for a Reporting and Analytics Engineer to join us in our Information Management Team, based in our spacious, modern Bristol office. We are close to excellent transport links with both Temple Meads Station and the City Centre on our doorstep.

As a Reporting and Analytics Engineer, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for data, visualisations, and story-telling through data; ideally coming from a relevant professional background to support this passion.

The successful candidate will work closely and provide support to our law firm, therefore we would encourage applications from individuals who have experience in analysing all aspects of law data and working with Fee Earners, Solicitors, Partners, and Paralegals. Ideally you will be adept at talking in both legal and data terms, however we welcome applications from individuals who do not have this experience as full training can be given.

For the right candidate, we are keen to offer support and development in order to progress your career within the Reporting & Analytics space with lots of support and in-situ training, as well as offering the opportunity to use external courses to gain and advance new skills.

We are keen to hear from candidates with previous experience in a similar role, ideally gained within a legal environment (this is desirable and not essential). You will have a “can do” attitude, to  help thrive in this rapidly evolving area, an enthusiasm to learn and a true passion for data and information. In addition, we'd like to hear from candidates who are:

  • Technology agnostic being willing and able to adapt as we evolve our information estate and technology stack towards contemporary technologies which may comprise tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Cognos 11, Qlik, and cloud based services within Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure;
  • Adept at visualising information through good use of chart types best suited to the situation;
  • Good problem solving and planning skills with a “can do” attitude;
  • Able to work well as a team with good collaboration skills;
  • A creative and lateral thinker; and
  • Able to demonstrate good communication and relationship building skills
