Role overview:
Nomura is seeking a highly skilled Reporting Lead to join our Vulnerability Management team. As the Reporting Lead, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our cybersecurity efforts through proficient data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
Role responsibilities:
Data Proficiency:
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in programming languages, with a focus on scripting and automation for efficient data handling.
- Expertise in SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases.
Database Management:
- Manage and maintain databases relevant to Vulnerability Management.
- Implement data governance practices to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability.
Data Analytics:
- Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to identify, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement strategies for proactive vulnerability detection and mitigation.
Visualization Skills:
- Create visually compelling and insightful reports using tools such as PowerBI.
- Translate complex vulnerability data into easily understandable visualizations for stakeholders.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security analysts and IT professionals, to gather requirements and understand reporting needs.
- Provide expertise in reporting best practices to enhance the overall effectiveness of Vulnerability Management.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Vulnerability Management and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting processes.
Communication:
- Effectively communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Present reports and recommendations to leadership for informed decision-making.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Proven experience in Vulnerability Management and reporting.
- Strong programming skills (e.g. Python, PowerShell).
- Proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Expertise in data analytics and visualization tools, particularly PowerBI.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
