As an Employer Engagement and Sales Strategist, your primary objective is to fuel the growth of the Skills Division by effectively engaging with employers while promoting innovation and competitiveness within your team. This role demands a strategic mindset to set and achieve ambitious targets. You will lead the sales team in devising comprehensive sales plans, collaborating closely with managers to elevate the organisation's reputation among external stakeholders.
Your responsibilities include delivering clear and responsive messages to both large employers and SMEs about the wide range of products and services offered. You'll also play a pivotal role in positioning the organization as a preferred business partner for various training needs, from Apprenticeships to bespoke programs. You will identify and bring forward new training demands from employers, ensuring that we stay responsive to the ever-changing market.
Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with colleagues to maintain an outstanding level of service to employers and actively contribute to the creation of new training and apprenticeship opportunities. Your lead generation skills will be put to the test as you identify profitable sales leads and nurture growth with existing clients. Effective deployment of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and timely reporting on sales activities will be essential to your success.
Additionally, you will liaise with potential candidates, matching them with suitable vacancies and overseeing their onboarding process. This multifaceted role requires a strategic, innovative, and collaborative approach to drive the organization's growth and maintain strong relationships with employers and candidates alike.
Role and Responsibilities:
Drive sales of a diverse range of products and services to meet organisational growth targets across the Black Country and Birmingham regions.
Serve as a dedicated ambassador for the agency and Skills Division, actively enhancing its reputation and cultivating new business relationships with both large corporations and SMEs.
Proactively identify sales opportunities and respond promptly to leads and inquiries, ensuring swift engagement.
Effectively manage cold calling initiatives, scheduling appointments with potential new employer partners.
Foster and nurture relationships with significant employers through networking initiatives, leveraging the potential of the CRM system and business intelligence tools.
Strive to attain established sales targets, including but not limited to apprenticeships and commercial courses.
Guarantee that both prospective and existing clients receive exceptional service throughout their engagement with the organization, particularly during the transition from the sales phase to service delivery.
Play a pivotal role in developing, attending, and supporting various external events, such as employer forums and skills meetings.
Facilitate communication with potential candidates through face-to-face interactions, telephone calls, and email correspondence. Oversee the candidate matching process and the entire onboarding journey, ensuring that enrollments onto the College system are accurately recorded. Collaborate with the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) from both a College and Employer perspective until completion.
Provide assistance to the Senior Leadership team and colleagues in engaging with broader stakeholder groups.
Utilise collected information to inform curriculum colleagues about industry trends, facilitating curriculum development.
Actively contribute to the development of Skills and Careers Academies in collaboration with curriculum colleagues.
Engage in training and development activities as required for the role.
Support the implementation of the wider strategic plan in alignment with organisational objectives.
