Reporting/Data Analyst - 3 Months

We have a current opportunity for a Data Reporting Analyst on an initial 3 month contract with likelihood if extension. The position will be based in Edinburgh on a hybrid working pattern of 1-2 days on site and the remainder from home.

The client will try to have interviews and an offer secured by the end of January and in time fro the start of February. The role: As a Reports Developer, you will be responsible for the development, design, and deployment of a secure, reliable, responsive reporting platform to ensure that data can be used to support decision making within the organisation. You will support the BI delivery manger, work closely with our other Analyst Team Managers and be responsible for leading a small group of junior analysts.

Key Responsibilities: To lead a small reports team and work alongside the wider MIS team to design and produce management reports and data analysis to a high standard and specification. You will be able to work collaboratively with Senior Stakeholders both technical and non-technical and, providing sound advice, support and guidance across the reports portfolio to ensure a consistent strategy and shared vision throughout the business. Assist with the development of Power BI dashboards and help to ensure this data allows wider business users to access data that allows them to make more informed and accurate decisions.

Main Skills And Experience.

• Ideally posses around 2 to 3 years of experience in a data analysis reporting role
• From a technical standpoint, you'll need strong commercial experience of reporting software, ideally being able to write SSRS reports and PowerBI.
• Experience of working with new data sets and supporting change.
• Be proactive in approaching & identifying complex issues and resolving problems
• Strong communication and be able to train in Business Intelligence and Reporting to junior staff when necessary.
• Any Higher Education experience is useful but not essential.
