Job description

Help For Heroes is now a national charity with a vision for a society where everyone in the Armed Forces community lives well after service. The charity provides tailored support for physical and mental health to veterans and their families in their homes and communities across the UK.

As part of the community fundraising team, you will work closely with the Community Partnerships Manager on the creation and development of new business opportunities to achieve long term sustainable income from community fundraisers, focusing on 5-figure partnerships. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their next step as a early career fundraiser or those looking to break into the sector. You will join a supportive and collaborative team of nine.

As Community Partnerships Executive, you will:

  • Support the Community Partnerships Manager to identify and research new fundraising opportunities to at 4 and 5 figure level
  • Work with the Community Fundraising Team to manage and cultivate a pipeline of funding opportunities
  • Support a prospect pipeline of opportunities (annual donation potential of £10k – £100k per year) by researching, identifying, and qualifying community fundraising leads
  • Create and deliver compelling, innovative, and engaging propositions and materials to inspire potential community partners to show the impact of Help for Heroes

Ideal skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in the charity sector or voluntary fundraising role
  • Experience of lead generation to drive a pipeline
  • Skills of negotiating and positively influencing outcomes
  • Passion and knowledge of the charity sector
