About the Role:
Your role will be to support research within the Social Work and Social Policy Unit of Assessment (UoA20) for the next REF (2029). You will contribute to ongoing projects, assisting lead researchers with the undertaking of research and the development and recording of impact. You will become involved in a wide range of research activities, including writing reports and papers, data collection and analysis, and literature review. You will also support the convenors of UoA20 in shaping a strong research environment and monitoring our profile of research and associated outputs.
With a degree, you'll have experience of writing concise but comprehensive reports/papers, and ideally of undertaking research and knowledge of research methods and design. You'll be able to communicate effectively and you have excellent presentation skills and strong administrative/organisational abilities. The ability to meet deadlines and work as part of a team are essential. We are looking for someone who can think critically and wants to see research making a difference, particularly for marginalised communities and groups.
