A Research Assistant position is available in the Advanced Processor Technologies group at the University of Manchester in the UK. The successful candidate will join a project exploring the performance and security benefits of lightweight operating systems, unikernels, in the context of serverless computing/function as a Service. The position is for 2 months, with a start date as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will be tasked with integrating a unikernel operating system into a serverless computing framework, and to describe that effort into a paper that will be submitted to a scientific conference.
