The Opportunity This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the healthy working life team within Keele University’s School of Medicine. The post is to conduct state-of-the-art statistical analysis that focuses on health and work inequalities. It involves building and analysing datasets, using health expectancy methods to estimate healthy working life expectancy for the general population and sub-populations. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented statistician/epidemiologist to conduct state-of-the art statistical analyses for projects funded by the Nuffield Foundation and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The successful candidate will work with the team to build datasets and analyse the role of health, work and socio-demographic factors on the amount of time people are healthy and in work and how this will change in the future. This role will also involve dissemination to a wide range of stakeholder, including policymakers, in addition to manuscript preparation and conference presentations. The role will also include contributing as an online tutor for the online Master of Public Health course. Appointment will be made at Grade 7 based on experience and skills and we would welcome all applicants with a background in statistics and epidemiology or a health related subject.
