About the vacancy: This is an opportunity for a developing researcher to join the Research in Emergency Care, Avon Collaborative Hub (REACH), based in the Centre for Health and Clinical Research at UWE Bristol. The REACH initiative aligns researchers from the two Universities in Bristol with direct links to other relevant networks such as Health Integration Teams, NHS commissioners, health and care providers, and others across the wider Southwest, in close collaboration with patient and public groups. The successful applicant will join the collaboration as a Research Associate. The post holder will work as part of the UWE Emergency Care Research Theme to support REACH-adopted research. The team is currently working on a variety of funded research projects in urgent, emergency and pre-hospital care: www.reachbristol.co.uk The post holder will provide support for ongoing work and contribute to the development of new research initiatives that directly align with existing and emerging priorities. About you: Applicants should have recent experience of conducting research within the National Health Service (NHS). The post will involve day-to-day coordination/administration, database management and contact with researchers and clinicians. The post holder will be expected to manage their own workload, seeking guidance and advice where necessary from the relevant Project Manager and the wider emergency care team. The post holder will support staff in submitting applications to obtain the permissions required for new projects and ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) in all research activity whilst working closely with other members of the research team and the project staff. Applicants must be well organised, possess strong communication skills and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This post is based at our Glenside Campus.
