About the Role You will be a committed researcher with a relevant PhD (or very close to completion) and a passion for discovery and dissemination. You should also have expertise in more technical aspects of FinTech such as the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning, blockchain and decentralised finance technologies coupled with a familiarity with relevant programming skills. You will also need a good understanding of contemporary developments in FinTech. You should be prepared to work individually, as part of a team and to support the research endeavours of other members of the Centre as required. You will become part of a team in a highly supportive and developmental environment and you will receive excellent training and mentoring. The Successful candidate will be a member of the Centre for Finance, Technology and Society and the Department of Accounting and Finance. The CFTS is recently established and aims to carry out cutting edge academic research and collaborate with organisations in the FinTech and financial sector to inform policy, practice and wider debates. The Centre aims to research current and emerging innovations in financial services facilitated by digital technologies, big data and AI, including Open, Decentralised, and Crypto Finance.
