Research Site Operations Technician - 2yr Fixed Term Contract

Your new role
As a Research Site Operations Technician, you will be responsible for undertaking and maintaining a variety of daily operations efficiently for the laboratories within the Hatfield Research Laboratory Facility (HRLF), EMEA Knowledge Centre, by providing general support services across a wide variety of laboratory and facility activities.
You are expected to ensure you are fully aware and comply with several policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety and be able to apply them to the laboratory environment and to ensure best practice is being always followed.
What are we looking for?
- ‘A’ level in relevant science subjects or relevant experience in similar laboratory environment essential.
- Degree in science related subject desirable.
- A competent use of computers with all common software applications.
- A willingness to learn, be flexible, adaptable, and co-operative.
- Hands-on proactive approach to solving problems that arise in the labs and to respond quickly to requests for assistance.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
- A willingness to work out of hours if required.
