The School of Pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Technician.
The postholder will be an active member within the Ocular Drug Delivery research group in the School of Pharmacy (SoP), Queen’s University Belfast. The Research Technician will provide specialist technical support in delivering effective and efficient technical services for a research project focused on the development, characterisation, and quality control of long-acting Drug Delivery systems. This project is funded by the School of Pharmacy's spinout company, Re-Vana Therapeutics, a preclinical stage company dedicated to pioneering innovative long-acting Drug Delivery systems.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
- Academic and/or vocational qualifications i.e., 2 A Levels, OND/ONC, City & Guilds and/or NVQ level 3 (or equivalents) in a relevant subject.
- At least 3 years’ laboratory experience.
- Have at least 6 months experience in the following:
- (a) HPLC, FTIR, and Rheometer
- (b) Conducting Quality Control in line with regulatory standards
- (c) GMP and GLP standards
- Recent and relevant experience in working with long-acting formulations.
