Job Title: Researcher

Contract: 9-12 month FTC

Hours: 9:30am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday (hybrid working in place)

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum

Our prestigious US law firm are looking to recruit a Researcher on a contract basis and are located near Chancery Lane. The firm operate in the US, Europe and Asia and their key practices include; Private Equity and M&A, Funds, Finance, Structured Finance, Restructuring and Disputes & Investigations. The firm puts a huge emphasis on their work culture, diversity and inclusion, their pro-bono programme, and, creating a collegiate atmosphere.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience working within the London office of a prestigious US law firm. Within this role, you will be responsible for effectively responding to internal enquiries surrounding business, market and legal research, as well as library and information duties. The role will include;

• Efficiently and effectively responding to a large volume business, market and legal research requests from lawyers and other teams. The requests for information can come from different practice groups (Private Equity, M&A, Restructuring), or different business functions, e.g. the Business Development team.
• Responsible for requests that generally have a quicker turnaround, but also supporting with the more complex requests and conducting litigation searches.
• Knowledge management.
• Development of information resources.
• Utilising databases such as Companies House, Westlaw, Mergermarket, Debtwire and Lexis.

To be considered for this role you will need to have experience of conducting business and market research, ideally in a law firm environment. You will need to be a confident communicator who is well organised and a fast learner. Due to the Research function being a smaller team, good team fit is essential for this role.
