Job Title - Reservations Executive
Location - (Homeworking (moving to a hybrid arrangement in 2023).
Office location - Orpington
Salary - £20,000 - £25,000 per annum + benefits
On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Reservations Executive to work within a busy Operations team for a leading Travel, Leisure and Hospitality provider.
The succesful candidate will provide sourcing and booking services for Travel trade customer for destinations throughout the UK, Ireland, France and other European destinations.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience working for a tour operator, attraction or hotel or a customer service background.
Key Duties
-Contracting and booking of services for group travel trade clients
-Provide expertise advise in the field of Travel and Hospitality
-Pro-actively develop and maintain a sufficient knowledge of our product ranges
-Answer and respond to incoming calls and emails
-Processing reservations and understanding special rates and contracts
-Negotiating the most competitive rates for our clients & dealing with cancellations and amendments.
-Liaising with suppliers
-Handling customers and suppliers in a prompt, friendly and efficient manner by telephone and in writing
-Providing booking advice and assistance for our customers suppliers.
-Process client payments
-Ensure vouchers are sent correctly
-Deal with customer/supplier issues and complaints
-Attending trade nights and fam trips to develop product knowledge
-Working as a team with all employees, ensuring your fellow staff members have additional support as and when required

-Determination to produce results in a pressurised work environment
-A good Industry knowledge and understanding
-Outgoing personality
-Computer literate - training will be provided on our in-house system
-Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
-Excellent written and verbal skills
-Numeracy skills
-Ability to work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines
-Must be able to work under pressure
-Interest in food, restaurants and other leisure products
-Good knowledge of attractions in and around the UK and Ireland
-Knowledge of geographical locations and the British Isles would be an advantage
-Any other languages spoken would be an advantage

Working Hours
Normal working hours: 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Monday to Friday
Occasional Bank Holiday and change of hours may be required at peak times
