Job description

We are a child care organisation providing care, education, and therapy services to young people who have experienced trauma in their lives resulting in emotional and behavioural difficulties. New Reflexions Children’s Residential Service offers both short & long-term, therapeutic placements for young people aged between 8 and 18 years of age.

We currently have vacancies within the Oban, Argyll and Bute area.

Our homes offer long term placements where young people receive a high level of nurturing and therapeutic care. Residents are supported to attend school or college and are equipped to become successful young adults in the future.

We also have 1 response home that offer an immediate response for young people who may be experiencing a crisis in their life. Placements are generally kept to 90 days. Our residents are offered a specially tailored programme containing a considerable amount of outdoor activities provided by the staff team throughout their stay. This provides the young people with fun, but also space and time to work through their difficulties and seek the help and support they need.

Starting at £30,240 per annum, with no qualification or previous experience required. This will increase to £31,024 upon completion of SVQ Level 3 qualification.

As an organisation we are currently expanding and experiencing an exciting period of growth and therefore require more enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Residential Support Worker.

Requirements

  • Full UK manual driving Licence;
  • Access to your own transport;
  • Passionate about helping children;
  • Keen interest in outdoor education is also an advantage as we encourage our young people to be actively involved in the outdoors.
  • The post holder has the responsibility to adhere to our Safeguarding and Child Protection Procedure

Due to the location of our homes, a full manual driving licence and access to transport are required. It is highly likely that you will be required to work in more than one location.
