We are proud to be working with this Ofsted approved Residential Childcare provider who currently have an exciting opportunity for a number of Residential Children s Workers to join their growing teams in and around Manchester. We also have a number of Senior positions available.
We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals who will be responsible for providing the highest possible quality of care to assist the resident children in reaching their fullest potential. We welcome applicants who have experience within Residential Childcare, SEN teaching assistant roles and other childcare settings. Applicants who do not have relevant experience can also be considered as long as they have the right motivation for the role.
Location: Manchester and surrounding areas
Contract: Full time, permanent
Salary: GBP30,000-GBP33,000
Key responsibilities:
Take responsibility for the basic care of children assisting and ensuring good personal care, health care, education and recreational activities
Proactively support the young person s care plan
Transport young people to and from school, health appointments etc
Ensure a regular log and record of events is maintained including night observation/medication checklist
Prepare and write reports in accordance with the child s needs and organisational requirements
Ensure professional standards in line with individual and team performance plans
Requirements:
Genuine commitment to welfare of resident children
Previous experience of working with children and young people is desirable
NVQ Level 3 in Children's and Young People's Workforce or equivalent (for senior roles)
Flexibility to work long shifts and sleep ins
Full UK driving license
Right to Work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
