Job Introduction

We are recruiting a Residential Host to work for Rapport, based at our client's exceptional central London Residences in Fulham. In this role, you will cover the daytime Residential Host duties, providing a 5* memorable experience to the residents.

As this is a growth sector that is resilient to the impact of the pandemic, the position offers job security, but without the demands that can go with traditional hospitality roles.

The client's ambition is to create exceptional London living for people over the age of 65. With high specification apartments in central locations, residents will benefit from first-class facilities, a like-minded community, hotel-like hospitality and, when needed, highly personalised, discreet care. Think of a blend of outstanding apartments, with the services of a private members club and a luxury hotel.

This is a full-time, permanent role that requires a flexible approach to the working pattern of a 12-hour shift (11.5 working hours), based on a 40.25 hour working week. Although the position covers daytime duties, you may need to work some ad-hoc night shifts (rare occasions).

This operation runs 24/7 and therefore days off will vary week on week. One week you may work 5 days, the next week you may work 2 days depending on business needs.

Key responsibilities of the Residential Host

  • Primarily responsible for ensuring the consistent service delivery
  • Working as part of a team, looking after the reception area, in-house gym, restaurant, espresso bar, garden, cinema, club room
  • Ensuring that residents enjoy a warm and welcoming home environment
  • Chatting and engaging with residents, creating a sustainable professional relationship
  • Providing a first point of contact for any queries, complaints, and issues, and addressing them in a professional and prompt manner
  • Managing communication with the residents, including through the resident app
  • Conducting regular security and compliance checks and being an emergency “first responder” and contact

The ideal candidate will

  • Have a genuine and deep-rooted interest in others and enjoy building long-term relationships
  • Be a great listener, show real empathy and have that “real feel” for how to anticipate the needs of others
  • Demonstrate a good command of the English language, verbal and written
  • Ideally, possess a clean UK driving licence
