The Role:
As a Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing personalised care and support to children with learning difficulties. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting children with daily activities such as personal care, feeding, and mobility.
Supporting children with therapy sessions, educational activities, and recreational outings.
Promoting independence and helping children develop essential life skills.
Creating a safe and inclusive environment that fosters the emotional well-being of the children.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, teachers, and medical professionals.
Documenting progress and communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
Requirements:
Genuine passion for working with children with learning difficulties.
A compassionate and patient nature, with a strong desire to make a positive impact.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
Ability to adapt to different situations and provide personalised care based on individual needs.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Previous experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care) is advantageous.
