Job: Residential Support Worker - Full Training Provided

We are working with a well-established and highly regarded children's residential care provider. This provider is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children and young people by creating a safe and nurturing environment in their Children's Residential Homes, where children can thrive and reach their full potential.
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing direct care, support, and guidance to children and young people within our residential homes. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help create a warm and welcoming environment, promoting their welfare, development, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities of the Residential Support Worker:
* Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people within a residential setting, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
* Create a safe and nurturing environment, promoting positive relationships and encouraging a sense of belonging.
* Encourage and facilitate the development of life skills, independence, and positive decision-making.
* Support children and young people in their education, assisting with homework, and promoting a positive attitude towards learning.
* Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals involved in the care of the children, ensuring effective communication and a holistic approach to support.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies.
* Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision, enhancing your professional development and sharing best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting is desirable but not essential.
* A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine interest in the well-being and development of children and young people.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and external professionals.
* Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
* A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
* Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and evenings.
* Minimum age requirement of 21 years (due to legislative requirements).
