Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage the reception team, overseeing hiring, conducting training sessions, and performing regular performance evaluations to ensure a high standard of service.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily operations of the front desk, guaranteeing smooth and efficient service that aligns with MUSU Manchester’s ethos of excellence.
- Customer Service Resolution: Handle complex customer service issues, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures for the reception area to streamline operations and enhance guest experience.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent and cohesive service across all touchpoints.
- Reception Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area, setting the standard for the guest experience.
- Guest Information Management: Collect and organise guest information to facilitate personalised service and preparation for guest arrivals.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a reception management or similar leadership role within a hospitality setting.
- Exceptional organisational and leadership skills, with a track record of managing successful teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach to service.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- A thorough understanding of front desk operations and the ability to implement efficient processes.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the hospitality industry.
