SalaryThe Commodore Hotel is situated within the charming waterside village of Instow, a prime coastal location at the mouths of Taw & Torridge estuaries overlooking the neighbouring fishing village of Appledore. This thirty bedroom boutique hotel, with both busy lunchtime eatery and finer dining grill room, are seeking an experienced individual with a comprehensive understanding of our industry to join the team initially as a Restaurant Supervisor, with the aim of eventually progressing to a full time duty management role.
Main duties and responsibilities -
- Assist in the management of the restaurant and front of house team, to maintain consistently high quality of service
- Assist in the day-to-day running and management of the hotel.
- Assist the Hotel Director and deputise in their absence
- Liaise with various departments on a day to day basis
About you -
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and responsible individual who has had experience working in a busy environment. Strong customer service skills are essential, as are a 'can do' attitude and the ability to adapt to situations and use your initiative when required. You must have the ability to delegate but also to lead by practical example. It is essential that you have had experience working in a similar role and have sound knowledge of the industry. A food and beverage background would be desirable. This role would suit someone who has experience working as a Restaurant Supervisor and is now looking to expand upon their skill set and move forward in their career.
This position will be 5 days per week.
