Retail Front of House Team Leader - England
Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead the team and retail offer within the restaurant
  • Carry out accurate weekly stock take, manage orders and stock levels with agreed stock par-levels
  • Create agreed and costed rotas to ensure sufficient cover of all areas of the business throughout service times
  • Carryout team training and help support retail manager in supporting personal and team development
  • Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Take orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Utilise the point-of-sale system to process orders accurately.
  • Set up tables, chairs, and other dining areas before opening and arrange them appropriately.
  • Clean and sanitise service areas regularly.
  • Ensure the restaurants cleanliness and tidiness before, during and post service
  • Monitor and restock condiments, napkins, cutlery, and other supplies as needed.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels and report any shortages to the management.
  • Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Be aware of COSHH regulations and use appropriate protective equipment when using chemicals.
  • Adhering to dress code policies. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist team members when needed, such as running food or drinks to tables during busy periods.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and cooperation.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe environment.
  • Follow proper hand hygiene procedures and maintain personal cleanliness.
  • Ensure the restaurant is compliant with health and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience within catering/Hospitality as a Team Leader
  • Be organised and meticulous.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to prioritise and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Having knowledge of food safety and COSHH would be advantageous.
