Retail Manager

Manpower Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a Retail Manager for an established store in the Oxford City Centre.

The role is Permanent and working 40hrs per week working every Saturday (Every sixth weekend you will have of) and one day in the week.

The role is paying between £36000-£38,500pa depending on experience

The Role
Do you have a passion for cheese? Experience and knowledge of cheese and able to give the best possible service to customers and businesses around Oxford?
As a Retail Manager you will be the face of the business serving customers and giving the best possible service with a small team. You will have passion, commitment and a great 'Can Do Attitude to make the store a success.

No day will be the same, the role is very varied, as you will be making deliveries (with company bicycle) to local businesses, stock ordering and replenishment, admin, daily cash up duties and merchandising store to a high standard, just to name a few.

The Candidate
Key qualities for the role would be-

• Great track record in Retail Management (ideally from a cheese background or delicatessen) but full training will be given.
• Physically fit as you will be standing for 8 hours per day and happy to ride a bike around City Centre.
• Ambitious and have a flair for in-store presentation and merchandising.
• Confident in dealing with situations and solving problems fast.
• Well-presented and good physical appearance.
• Able bring in new ideas and try new things.
• Someone who is Tough and Resilient and can think fast and use own initiative.
• Confident with cashing up and banking
• Good at managing a team and experience with dealing with training, inductions, and HR issues.
• Can deal with Admin and paperwork, great attention to detail.
