The Role: The Retail Platforms Consulting Director takes responsibility for the development and delivery of client engagements within the retail (adviser) and direct platforms arena, including associated technology and outsource suppliers. The practice is part of a broader Investments domain which also covers Wealth Management and Life & Pensions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop client relationships at CxO/senior level
- Identify and drive business development opportunities
- Publish practice thought leadership, build relationships with journalists
- Help to shape the practice/domain strategy, and propositions
- Define and manage the development of practice specific collateral, intelligence and artefacts
- Shape, estimate, propose and win consulting engagements
- Oversee/lead the delivery of client consultancy engagements using our proven methodologies where relevant
- Manage client stakeholders, resolve issues and ensure the reputation of Altus is maintained and enhanced
- Support the Domain Director in the recruitment, management, training and development of staff
Requirements:
- Extensive retail investment platforms knowledge and experience, and a genuine passion for the subject area
- Industry recognised platforms thought leader and commentator
- A proven track record in defining and delivering strategic, propositional or operational solutions for senior stakeholders.
- A background in Consulting is desirable, but not essential
- Solid understanding of business and IT change
- Significant network and a successful track record in business development
- Demonstrable experience of building and leading teams
- Good commercial acumen and ability to shape, review and negotiate contracts
- Genuine drive and enthusiasm to make a difference on the client’s behalf
- Typically, 15 years+ experience, predominantly in FS
- A willingness to travel to Client / Altus offices and undertake varying roles
