As part of this group, the Railway Museum continues the audience journey by providing a seamless experience into one of its varied retail outlets.

To support this, we are now looking for a Retail Stockroom Assistant to join us on a permanent basis for 15 hours pw (2 days pw) at the Railway Museum in York.

In this role, you will assist the Retail Shopfloor Team by ensuring Retail Outlets within the Museum are well stocked and merchandised. You will ensure that all stock delivered to the retail operation is stored safely and efficiently and that stock is processed and merchandised to the required standard and in accordance with retail procedures. You will look after specific tasks for the store's operation, keeping visual merchandising and housekeeping at the highest standard.

1 x 15-hour pw contract available:

Working 8.00am - 4.00pm, Tuesday/Saturday and Tuesday/Wednesday on a 2-week rolling rota

About you

As Stockroom Assistant, you will bring good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work towards targets. You'll be proactive and comfortable working under your own initiative. The ability to work with computerised stock control systems is also helpful, along with a friendly, flexible and adaptable approach.
