SalaryThis is a permanent role working on 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis. Monday to Friday is 8.30am-6pm, Saturday 8.30am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm! Salary on offer is a basic of £27,500 per annum plus bonus (OTE £30,500 per annum).
As Retail Store Manager you will be reporting into the Area Manager, working in a well established team of 4-6 Sales Advisors and an Assistant Store Manager to ensure the smooth day to day management of the store.
- Leading, coaching and motivating the team to optimize sales and gross margin
- Control shrinkage, labour costs, overheads and discounts
- Maintain stock accuracy
- You will be the designated key holder for the store
- Offer honest advice and build a rapport with customers, exceeding their expectations and reassuring them when they're bewildered by choice
- Recruitment of support staff as required
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a Retail Store Manager role or similar
- Proven experience of leading a small team
- Managerial experience within a retail or field sales position, ideally in a hard goods environment
- Proven experience in achieving sales targets and KPI’s
- Strong people management skills to motivate your team to deliver results
- Good knowledge of tools/ machinery/ DIY market or a keen interest in this area
- Excellent numeracy and IT skills
