Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for the role of a Retrofit Engineering Manager reporting to the Gas Seals Senior Manager. You will be a key leader and technical expert working within the Gas Seal Engineering team. This role will be focused on managing the daily activities of the global End User and Retrofits engineering teams. To deliver products to customers on time. This role is critical in ensuring we are delivering a world class service to our customers, whilst actively developing the teams technical skills and career development.
The role is open to be located within our Slough site. Working Monday to Friday during normal office hours. (Hybrid working)

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Manage a team of mechanical engineers and design engineers across the US and UK to provide precision engineers gas seal products for the end user
- Interpret complex customer specifications and making decisions based on the available technical information
- Speaking directly with customers to answer any technical questions within a timely manner
- Update management and other stakeholders on the Gas Seal End User Engineering KPI’s
- Drive the use of global standards and consistency across diverse office locations
- Support automation efforts to reduce engineering lead time for quotes and drawings
- Support on any technical challenges and manage any risks
The Individual
- Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience working within a rotating equipment / turbomachinery/ compressor or a relevant field
- In-depth knowledge within of the energy industry, oil and gas end users and compressors OEMs
- Ideally have previous management or supervisor experience
- Proficient in Cad, 3D modelling and GD&T
- Able to check complex engineering drawings for accuracy
- Understanding of design for manufacture
- Strong leadership and communication skills
