Retrofit Solution Engineer

Our client has an opportunity for a Retrofit Solution Engineer to join them on a contract basis until November 2024 initially. You will be given the opportunity to work in a small, experienced and collaborative team, for the in-service aircraft, as well working alongside colleagues from all over the wider business, and in particular with colleagues based in France.
Role: Retrofit Solution Engineer
Location: Filton
Hours: 35 hours per week across 4.5 days
Clearance: BPSS required to start
Hourly Rate: £55 per hour via Umbrella - inside IR35
You will find yourself working on gathering the Engineering data for the Service Bulletins:

• The identification of installation drawings design solutions
• Feasibility analysis
• Configuration management
• Continuous improvement initiatives like processes
• Knowledge capture
• Compliance with Airworthiness requirements
• Ground Support Equipment
• Future ways of working (like new integrated tools)

Requirements:
We are looking for an outstanding candidate who wants to learn and participate in the continuous transformation of Retrofit Solutions.
You will be able to demonstrate:

• Any relevant Engineering degree (or in combination with another) such as Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems
• Configuration management
• 3D experience in CATIA

• Installation and drawings

• Inquisitive mindset with good problem solving skills.
• High level of commitment and proactivity, taking ownership of tasks.
• Willingness to learn and develop different skills.
• Demonstrating tenacity, resilience and perseverance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
