The E.ON I&C Pillar combines the current npower Business Solutions & E.ON B2B businesses to create a new £5billion revenue business serving c60,000 business customers and around 300,000 business meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.

We're looking for a Revenue Controls Lead to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. The team aim is to maintain our industry differentiating revenue leakage position through proactive monitoring, investigation and resolution activities. The role will initially focus on the end-to-end revenue assurance process for gas looking at the billed v settled position, identifying gaps, leading on fixes and putting in controls to prevention future issues impacting revenue. This role will offer the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) approximately 2 days in the office per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain the nBS industry differentiating revenue leakage position through proactive monitoring, investigation and resolution activities.
  • Focus and support the team’s recovery target through metering analysis to maximise billing opportunities and Settlement alignment.
  • Ensuring billing risk is minimised through testing and measuring that contracts, accounts, tariffs and meter technical data are setup correctly as agreed upon with the supply contract.
  • Manage root cause investigations to ensure the financial business plan targets are achieved.
  • Input on future development of billing control systems and reporting. Enhancing the suite of controls to identify and mitigate risks to revenue.
  • Lead on governance for managing commercial opportunities for retrospective billing.
  • Use specialist knowledge to seek and investigate opportunities to enhance operational performance for the benefit of the customers and our Business.
  • Working to ensure the charges we receive from other market participants are accurately passed through to our customers.
What we need from you
  • Detailed knowledge of energy market (Gas DM and NDM preferred) and the drivers of successful performance. Understanding the regulatory. Settlement and commercial frameworks and the operational processes.
  • Experience of revenue related processes.
  • The ability to implement solutions to bespoke and complex issues quickly and effectively.
  • Experienced in end-to-end query management, including customer interactions, communications and negotiation to optimise end-to-end delivery.
  • The ability to investigate and interpret complex, multiple sources of data and insight to make critical business conclusions.
