Job description

Revenue Operations Data Engineer
Meltwater is looking for a Data Engineer to help us build a foundation for excellence by designing and optimizing data infrastructure to support revenue-focused initiatives. This role will report directly into the Senior Director of Revenue Operations, based out of the Toronto office.
Revenue Operations is a strategic and tactical team within our Central Operations organization. RevOps looks at Meltwater's global sales organization from new angles and actions improvements to increase efficiency & effectiveness.
What You’ll Do:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for processing and transforming raw data into actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement robust ETL processes.
  • Develop and maintain data models that support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs.
  • Optimize database structures for performance and scalability, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
  • Integrate data from various sources, including Salesforce, Marketo, and external APIs, to create a unified and comprehensive view of revenue-related data.
  • Implement real-time data integration solutions to support timely decision-making.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of revenue data.
  • Implement data governance best practices to maintain data consistency and compliance.
  • Work closely with the team to understand data needs and provide well-structured datasets.
  • Support the implementation of data-driven models and algorithms in collaboration with RevOps, FP&A and Business Applications.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, and database management.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and experience with ETL and reverse ETL tools (Fivetran, Census, Hightouch, DBT)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions, such as Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery and knowledge of data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Apache Flink) is preferred.
