Our partner specialises in the design and build of Phased Array Antennas, Satellite Transceivers and Amplifiers, and Ka-band satellite communications solutions, the next generation of high-speed, satellite communications technology.
They require an RF Systems Engineer (Contract) to be instrumental in advancing a satellite communications project, focusing on the development of Ku and QV downlink transceivers and their respective Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA).
Responsibilities for the RF Systems Engineer (Contract):
- Innovate and refine the existing Ku or QV downlink transceiver design, incorporating specific performance enhancements.
- Pioneer the development of the QV downlink transceiver and its SSPA, transforming designs into tangible, cutting-edge technology.
- Employ specialised expertise in AWR VSS and Keysight technologies to simulate and optimize RF systems for peak performance.
- Navigate the project through critical stages, ensuring alignment with MEO/GEO satellite communication standards and customer expectations.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Knowledge & Experience required by the RF Systems Engineer (Contract):
- Expertise in PCB design, RF system design, and simulation tools like SystemVue and AWR VSS will drive the project from the PDR stage to successful completion.
- Previous experience working on MEO/GEO satellite communication projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design and analysis tools.
