Job Description
We have an amazing opportunity to join our Group Risk Function here at L&G as a Group Risk Actuary.
In this role you will support with the implementation of the Internal Model validation and change frameworks, so that the model is continually improved, remains suitable and compliant, and is accepted by the Prudential Regulatory Authority.
You will also support on the delivery of the Group's Recovery and Resolution plans. As well as being an active contributor to other activities within Group Risk such as providing support and advice to promote the onboarding of risks in a commercially viable and financially sound way.
The Group's wider activities may include projects, initiatives, business developments, planning or the ongoing monitoring & management of risks.
This is a hybrid working opportunity based from our London Offices in Moorgate, which will allow you to find a work/life balance that suits you.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Life Actuary or proven equivalent skill set.
  • Good understanding of UK Prudential Regulatory requirements, particularly for Internal Models.
  • Experience/knowledge of Risk, Capital Management and Governance within insurance firms.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholder at varying levels of seniority.
  • Delivery focused approach with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and follow through to delivery.
  • Ability to identify risks, issues and/or dependences, and implement appropriate remedial actions.
  • Ability to build proactive relationships across functions within the Group.

  • Base Salary up to £85,000
