up to £57,000 FTE
Temporary - 9-month assignment
Bristol (remote within travel vicinity for Bristol)

We are working with a highly reputable Bristol based client. As an ethically driven leader within their sector, they are committed to enhancing and improving their day-to-day operations and impact on society. This is a temporary assignment designed to assist the implementation of a project.

Duties in the role will focus on:

• Acting as the central point and primary source of knowledge for the ongoing project
• Portfolio risk analysis and working closely with Risk and other internal teams to ensure the portfolio performance and risk management supports the company's goals
• Gathering customer data and working closely with relationship managers to guide customer communication
• Establish an effective framework for the identification, assessment and management of risks and opportunities
• Analysing customer's risk strategies at an industry level
• Continuously reviewing external thought leadership and upskilling the team
• Ongoing risk identification and mitigation
• Liaising with Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit & Credit Risk on operational matters
• Monitoring, managing and performing 1st line Quality Assurance activities
• Coordinate Sector Risk Analyses in conjunction with business managers and credit risk managers
• Overseeing completion of risk related actions emanating from Committees, Compliance & Audit, satisfying actions a timely and effective manner
• Help set the departmental tone for compliance with regulatory and internal requirements by demonstrating ethical behaviour and always promoting a strong control mindset
• Undertaking any other duties which may be required, from time to time.

We are looking for a candidate with a background and experience in:

• Financial Services background and/or working in regulated environment
• First Line Operational Risk experience
• Good knowledge and understanding of managing risk events, root cause analysis and RCSA's
• Ability to work across departments collaborating and influencing at various levels across the business
• Detailed and analytical mindset
• An understanding of control checking and good Excel skills would be desirable but not essential
