Risk & Assurance Manager
Location: Birmingham, Bath Row, B15 1LZ
Salary: £62,407 per annum, plus annual pay award
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
The Role
As the Risk & Assurance Manager, you’ll support the Head of Assurance, Risk and Transactions to deliver holistic assurance to the organisation, ensuring Midland Heart successfully delivers its objectives, safeguards our assets and mitigates against risk. You’ll achieve this by managing continuous auditing, leading the groups Emergency Response plans, supporting the development of the groups Strategic Risk Register and contract management of our external Internal Audit partners.

Our ideal candidate?
We’re seeking a highly motivated individual with the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- You’re a fully qualified Internal Auditor (IIA) or Finance Professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- You have demonstrable experience of managing internal audit programmes along with experience of providing detailed reports and recommendations
- You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to negotiate, challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels
- You have the ability to manage and lead a small team.
As a highly visible role to our internal customers, you’ll need to be present in the office for 3 days a week; we're also flexible to ensure you can meet and enjoy life’s challenges and opportunities throughout the year.
