Direct Analyst

As a Direct Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting the team of Relationship Directors (RD’s) by providing support to the to realize the formulated sales objectives of the CTI Direct Business.

This role will be focused on providing day to day procedural and analytical guidance to the team of DLL Direct Relationship Directors.

Day to day:
  • Assist RD’s with preparing high quality and concise credit submissions for DLL Direct clients with a focus on data quality and integrity.
  • Assess new proposals in compliance with Credit Risk Policies & Standards, Underwriting Criteria and Risk Appetite
  • Playing a critical part within the process of Identifying and prioritising key corporate account opportunities within the Direct Portfolio.
  • Research end user prospects and assist the RDs in developing a prioritised prospect list, identify customer needs/requirements and make / execute the prospecting plan in line with key accounts strategy.
  • Helping the RD to manage and drive the quotation process via a consultative sales approach working with customers, prospects, and suppliers to identify specific needs, then aligning internally with appropriate parties to provide a customised solution that differentiates ourselves from the competition.
  • Assisting the RD in analysing business risk (sustainability, client related integrity risks, management assessment), Financial Risk (credit analysis, historical & forecast financial performance) and
  • Understanding Group Structure Risks (identification of legal counterparties and credit bases)
  • Helping ensure that the Direct portfolio is maintained in accordance with Risk and CAMs processes by timely submission of Annual Reviews and updated KYC.

Essentials:
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience of underwriting / analysing transaction in a wide range of sectors within either a banking or asset finance business.
  • Be proactive and well-prepared in risk and credit matters.
  • Have experience in analysing and executing large value structured transactions of between £1m and £30m particularly in the Direct Sector where we are dealing direct with the end user customer
  • Have experienced in funding both hard and soft assets
  • Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with corporate and divisional leaders and peers.
  • Have experience of working closely with Relationship/Account Managers in Sales teams and helping them to structure large deals, identifying key risks within a deal and structure accordingly to mitigate these risks.
  • Energised, tenacious and resilient to deliver best in class business performance. Passionate about DLL and our clients (eager to deliver win-win)
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a “virtual team” across geographies and disciplines within a matrix environment
