Our client, one of the UK's most reputable and dynamic retail and dynamic retail and financial services business's seeks a Risk Manager to join their high-calibre, well-established risk function. This is a hybrid role, based in Manchester requiring you to attend their state-of-the-art offices twice per week.
The role
Reporting directly to Director of Risk & Assurance and managing a small team of experienced Risk Analysts, you will have a high level of autonomy and influence at a senior level.
You will be business partnering with all areas of the business giving you a high level of exposure and variety. You will be responsible for delivering the following:
- Maintaining and developing the risk registers and risk framework - you will have a flair for continuous improvement.
- Business partnering with all areas of the business; supply chain, finance, HR, operations.
- You will be working closely with stakeholders and driving a positive risk management culture. You will therefore have an ability and strong track record of encouraging and supporting stakeholders and leaders to manage and be responsible for their own risks.
- Supporting and leading on risk analysis.
- Preparing the monthly board packs for the Director of Risk & Assurance to present at monthly board meetings. As the role grows and develops you will also be invited to present at board meetings and risk and audit committee meetings, giving you more exposure to senior leaders of the business.

- Applicants with a background in retail and or financial services will be of particular interest.
- Applicants holding/working towards the IRM qualification will also be of particular interest.
The Package
- Basic Salary £50,000 - £65,000 (depending on skill level and experience)
- Annual Bonus (in the region of 10%)
- Flexible benefits package (can also be taken as cash)
