Job Title: Risk Manager

Location: Barrow-in-Furness.We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £63,000 + car allowance depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

• Developing and implementing appropriate tailored Project Management practice.
• Supervisory responsibilities and provides information/technical direction and guidance
• Coaching members of the team, monitoring their quality of work and contributing to performance management
• Management of documentation to ensure quality for audit actions
• Managing governance and control processes
• Maintaining the reporting structure and ensuring sufficient timescales are in place for review

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices) and basic knowledge of other functions such as Commercial & Finance
• Ability to resolve & guide others in solving complex project-related issues
• Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to persuade and influence internal & external stakeholders
• Ability to make decisions and problem-solve guided by policies, procedures and business plan
• Ability to analyse project management data, to summarise and synthesise the information for reporting output at a strategic and tactical level

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Applied Risk Management (ARM) database

The Dreadnought PMO Risk & Opportunity team:

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Dreadnought PMO Risk and Opportunity team. You will report on the Project Management risk and opportunity for the design and delivery of the Dreadnought Programme's boats. Analysing risks and opportunities, as well as their impact on schedule and cost, will be key responsibilities. The depth of exposure within the team will enhance your development in the area of risk and opportunity. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria
