About The Role & You
Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service is seeking a versatile, self-motivated person with excellent communication and relationship-building skills to become the Road Safety Lead in Prevention.
You will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating Road Safety education for adolescents and the post-16 age group, across Gloucestershire. You will need to be confident to work collaboratively with other professionals to develop your education activity and able to build on an existing network of session-trainers to support the work.
You will take a leading role in reducing serious and fatal collisions on our roads so an understanding of delivering behaviour change programmes is necessary. Your role may be demanding but you will be making a difference to our diverse community. You will also have access to a network of other Road Safety colleagues across the sector and guidance from Regional Prevention Leads to help you in implementation of new programmes and adapting existing programmes.
The role sits within the Prevention Team so you will be expected to share in creating and supporting community engagement and events that help improve community safety. These colleagues will be like-minded, community-focused and there to support your work.
