ROCK & POP MUSIC TEACHER (Band Coach)

Inspire children everyday through our incredible Rock & Pop band sessions
Peripatetic teaching role travelling between schools in and around the Oxford area.

iRock School of Music teaches 1000s of primary school children every week. We believe every child deserves a brighter future and our amazing Rock & Pop lessons develop social skills and boost confidence, by engaging with music in a fun way.

Full Time Hours: Monday - Friday
Salary: GBP24,000 pa
Plus monthly fuel contributions
Holiday: 10 weeks fully paid school holidays
Experience first-hand how music can have a positive impact on young people. Part of a collaborative and supportive team, you will be equipped with all of the instruments, you will visit a maximum of 2 schools per day. The Role

• Deliver rock and pop band sessions to groups of children in up to 10 primary schools per week
• Teach young people aged 4-11 how to play drums, keyboard, guitar or vocals
• Build strong relationships with parents and schools
• Help pupils deliver their first live performances in front of an audience
• Small number of administrative duties (30 minutes per day)
• Working to the RSL structure providing Rock School certificates to our students
• Be part of a team running band camps at the beginning of the summer holiday

Requirements

• Be able to play Drums, Keyboard, Guitar and Vocals
• Have a good all-round musical knowledge
• Hold a valid driving licence and access to own car (essential)
• Strong organisation and IT skills
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise own workload
• Be a confident individual who is passionate about music
• Be able to build positive relationships with adults and children
