An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our B5 OT rotation at SCFT, we value person-centered care and staff development and offer a supportive and innovative environment in which to start or develop your Occupational Therapy career. We are now looking for skilled, enthusiastic, Band 5 Occupational Therapists to join our rotations across both ward and community-based services in Crawley and Horsham. You will have the opportunity to develop your occupational therapy clinical and case management skills across a range of clinical conditions and settings.
These posts are open to new graduates, those due to qualify soon, Occupational Therapists wishing to return to practice and more experienced Occupational Therapists who want to broaden their clinical skills in a variety of specialities.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be involved in:
- Delivering of high quality, individualised, evidenced-based care to all patients.
- Learning, developing, and adapting to change.
- Operating in a team and contributing to team decisions
- Managing own caseload and prioritising
- Teaching of patients, carers and peers

Job responsibilities
We cover 2 geographical areas of Crawley and Horsham. These all have good links to public transport and are only a 15 minutes walk from the town centres. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A driving license and a car available to use for work are essential, as you will be required to travel across sites and in the community.
Our Occupational Therapists are recognized and valued as integral to patient experience and outcomes and are supported professionally via our Occupational Therapy Professional Lead structure. You will be supported by senior Occupational Therapists in each setting, receive regular supervision, access peer forums and a preceptorship programme.
