Qualified Social Worker - Rutland - Through Care TeamPurpose of the Job: To provide quality social work services to children in our care and support them and their families in accordance with legal duties & requirements, National guidance and Council policies and procedures. Building a positive working relationship with them and putting them at the centre of your practice. To undertake a range of statutory duties in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and subsequent legislation and in relation to children who are in need of help or protection and children in the care of the Local Authority. Work with various levels of complexity; including completion of assessments, direct work with children or other interventions aimed at improving the lives of children in Rutland, progressing their care plans and safeguarding them from harm. To work as a member of an integrated service with families and carers to ensure that children and young people achieve positive outcomes. Main Responsibilities: 1. To carry a caseload of children and young people in the care of the Local Authority. 2. To participate in duty system and provide specialist duty cover as required. 3. To take account of the child's and family's cultural, racial and linguistic background and religious persuasion in providing services. 4. To take responsibility for efficient caseload management. 5. To maintain accurate and up to date records as required by departmental procedure. 6. To prepare assessments, plan and review CLA plans and ensure they are progressed along with lifestory work. 7. To prepare reports for reviews, meetings, courts or other purposes as required. 8. To take responsibility for keeping up to date with key research and developments in relations to providing family support services. 9. To work closely with agency partners to develop services for children, young people and their families as required from time to time. 10. To attend team meetings and participate in team development. 11. To act in accordance with the principles set out in the Employee Code of Conduct, the Council's Values and comply with the social work regulatory body that governs social work practice and standards (currently SWE)Benefits in this role:* Supportive team and management* Flexible working available* Long term contract* Progression opportunitiesYour main responsibilities include:* Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision, guidance, and support, reflecting the function of the team and the Vulnerable People Service in accordance with policy, procedures, guidance and legislation.* Undertake work within legislative frameworks including the preparation of written statements and representations to the judiciary at Court hearings.* You will be accountable for complex decision making in relation to caseloads ensuring professional judgement, service user involvement, needs led assessment, critical reflection, and analysis to inform this.* You will identify and assess levels of risk and need (within statutory frameworks) in often complex situations. Undertake safeguarding investigations and deliver protective and/or supportive services for individuals at risk and maintain up to date assessments, care plans and reviews.* You will be preparing statements of need/care and support plans, in consultation with other agencies as appropriate, that reflect the wishes of the individual and lead to the commissioning of personalised packages of care.* You will undertake direct work with adults and their families in line with care plans.* You will work co-operatively with both internal and external colleagues across multi - agency boundaries.Essential requirements:* Social Work England registration* Eligible to work in the UK* 2 years+ post-qualified experience* Degree level or equivalent in Social WorkBenefits of working with RemedyA personal one-one service from your highly experienced dedicated consultant.Top tier supplier across London giving us first access to jobs.Referral bonus - up to £250* per person placed.Double payrolls each week.You will be required to fully register with Remedy for all locum positions
