- Operate mobile Lastec speed detection equipment from dedicated enforcement vans to detect speeding offences in line with ACPO policy to ensure compliance with speed limits and reduction of casualties
- Operate and service GATSO speed cameras to detect speeding offences and TSS Traffiphot Red Light Cameras to detect red light running offences ensuring compliance with ACPO policy
- Maintain logs, records and audit trails to preserve continuity of evidence for presentation before court
- Prepare court files for offences not covered by the conditional offer system
- Carry out routine inspections of sites to ensure compliance with legislation and ensure robust evidence available for presentation of offences to court
- Ensure all equipment is within calibration, diagnosing any faults, and liaise with manufacturers to ensure continuity of enforcement
- Attend at court to give evidence when necessary
- Respond to members of the public regarding the technical aspects of camera enforcement
- Must be able to travel anywhere in the Force area. (if relevant)
This is a permanent opportunity but we would be open for applicants who are interested in a secondment.
