Salary: up to GBP43,000
Location: Biggleswade
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: 40 hour working week, Monday Friday
The role
As the Safety & Environmental Manager your role will involve the following important duties:
- Promote effective and safe practices and controls throughout the engineering workshop and yard operations.
- Assist to develop Safe Systems of Work in all areas.
- Support in carrying out accident investigations.
- Ensure equipment is compliant and fit for purpose.
- Provide guidance on hazard identification and ensure risk assessments are completed.
- Assist in the control of contractors - assessing RAMS and issuing PTW.
- Carry out company inductions and safety training as required.
The experience required
As a successful Safety & Environmental Manager, you will have the following:
- Formal safety qualification - NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role is essential.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Well organised with attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills.
- Confident working in an engineering workshop environment.
