Having met the Director of this business I can say that whoever secures this Bookkeeper role would be lucky to work for him – he’s cool, calm, and collected but runs a really tight, steady & successful ship!

He is proud of the business, the team and how collectively they have all created a fantastic company which is highly profitable and gives every employee freedom and support to perform to the best of their abilities.

You will be the engine room of finance – they know without someone like you, the business couldn’t possibly operate or become more profitable which is why they trust & respect the individual in this role so much.

Although now part of a large group having grown from £1m to £9m in the last 6 years, the family-feel of the office is still very much core; I was shown around, introduced to every employee and made to feel like a part of the team myself!

You will be looked after here, I guarantee… there’s no airs and graces, no “big wig” corporate feel, the true success of this business is down to its people, once you’re in, you’re in for life – and who would want to leave such a welcoming set up?

You will run the day to day transactional finance, liaise with the Director and external accountants at period end but the absolute pre-requisite of this role is Sage knowledge; someone who can use the system to identify any discrepancies in the accounts or to purely get more visibility of the accounts by using all its features and functionalities.

The ideal role to spend the rest of your working life – they don’t need a go-getter, they don’t need someone to climb the ladder; if that’s what you’re seeking, this isn’t the role for you – but if a great local business who truly value each and every employee and treat everyone the same – whether you’re the lad who drives the forklift truck or the CEO over in Germany!
