Background
We are looking for a Salaried GP to join our friendly, medium sized practice with potential for joining the Partnership in the future. The list size is circa 6000 patients. The practice is well organised with efficient workflow and manageable appointment numbers. Routine appointments are 15 minutes and only 24 a day. Your week will include a paid admin session and also CPD time as per BMA model contract. The team is passionate about collaborative and holistic care whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Any candidates interested in an informal visit are most welcome.
Salary
- Competitive salary in line with experience – starting at £10,000 per session per year + NHS Pension + Indemnity + BMA Contract.
- 1 paid admin session a week included.
- High earning partnership (drawing will be discussed in person).
- 100% Parity.
- No buy in required for Partnership.

The Surgery
Ford Medical Practice has offered General Medical Services to the local area since 1962. The Practice moved to its current site in 1984 and has been structurally developed to provide excellent facilities (converted semi-detached property with extensions and parking).
The Practice offers a wide range of general medical services to all its Patients who reside in Litherland, Netherton, Thornton, Seaforth, Bootle and Crosby.
Good transport links – 20 minutes drive from Liverpool and 10 minutes from M57 and M58 motorways.
Great links to local surgeries and active member of South Sefton PCN and South Sefton GP Federation.
First-rate admin support: they take a lot of responsibility on, allowing GPs to concentrate on their clinical duties.
Historically Ford has a good reputation as a training practice and though we don’t have a trainer at present, we will remedy this soon. We host Medical Student placements and one of the Partners teaches undergraduates on the Medicine course at University of Liverpool.
As well as support from GPs in the Practice there is also good local support for early career GPs.
Your role
- 27 hours per week: 5 clinic sessions, 1 admin session + 2 hours CPD (remaining CPD instead of clinical session).
- Salaried GP / GP Partner.
- Experience preferred but newly qualified GPs welcome.
