The main purpose of this role is to assist customers in our showroom and be the first point of contact for any stakeholders contacting the busness.
The hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (42.5 per week) + 1 Saturday morning per month 8am - 12pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet and attend to customers in the showroom in a professional and polite manner.
- Assist both trade and general public customers over the phone and in the showroom with placing orders.
- Process orders placed on all sales platforms, using the in house system called Orderwise.
- Various other tasks on Orderwise, such as but not limited to:
- Create purchase orders
- Set up new customers
- Amend existing customer orders
- Check stock
- Produce quotes for customers using measurement and product knowledge (full training provided).
- Send Purchase Orders for special items.
- Being the first point of contact for all telephone enquiries.
- Reply to customer’s enquiries via email and the messaging systems on the different sales platforms, including our online chat function.
- Liaise with couriers regarding delivery of orders to customers.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of company products and services, and offers technical support and information to team members, customers and stakeholders.
- Use initiative to research competitor’s website and products and report back.
- Look at our website and sales platforms to do random checks and ensure all products are listed correctly.
- General housekeeping in showroom, ensure the showroom is in a presentable condition and cards and stock are always filled up. Report any issues with the showroom to the relevant person.
- General office and clerical duties as and when required.
