At Aquajet we pride ourselves on our commitment to providing excellent and efficient service to our Customers and have been the UK distributor of OMAX Waterjet Machines for over 25 years; we are an established and well-respected business.
Due to continued success, we are currently looking for a Sales and Marketing Assistant to join us at office in Buckshaw Village. The ideal candidate would preferably possess some experience or knowledge of the Engineering, Machinery, Tooling or Manufacturing industry and ideally a relevant qualification in Sales, Marketing or Business Development.
We will provide comprehensive training for the right candidate if you can clearly demonstrate that you have a passion to join our team and possess the key skills, drive and personality we require.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Director.
Are you the right person for the job?
• Previous experience in a Sales or Marketing role
• Some knowledge of the Engineering, Machinery, Tooling or Manufacturing industry
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Creative mind with the ability to design marketing artwork
• Be fully IT literate in the main Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
• You’ll be a charismatic, “people person”
• Willing to deliver a consistently high level of service
• The ability to stay calm under pressure and be organised is imperative.
• You’ll be proactive; a team player who can successfully prioritise tasks, whilst being just as effective working independently
• A clear, calm and friendly telephone manner
• You should be confident dealing with queries, taking customer orders, offering technical advice, and promoting the key brands, products and services
What will your role look like?
• Assist with lead generation
• Qualify product leads
• Follow up enquiries & quotations
• Assisting in the development of the marketing strategy
• Updating the company websites with new images, content and research/industry articles
• Creating regular and engaging content for the companies various social media profiles (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube etc)
• Creating and delivering marketing campaigns (i.e. LinkedIn Email shots)
• Cataloguing media (i.e. site & product photos/videos)
• Assisting in planning & attending networking events (i.e. exhibitions)
• Carry out market research to develop industry-relevant content
• Gain enquiries through calls and emails for our Service & parts departments
• Arranging meetings and site visits for the Service Engineers
• Some Account Management of existing and generated customers
• General admin duties within the Sales & Marketing department
• Assist other team members as and when necessary (eg process spare parts orders, travel bookings etc).
