Polypal UK, who are one of our trusted brands, are looking for a Sales and Marketing Director to join their busy and successful team. Ideally, this role will be based at Polypal UK’s head office in Wakefield, although it is not essential as this position will involve regular UK wide travel.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director for Polypal UK, the Sales and Marketing Director has a lead role to work closely with the Senior Management team to define, set and deliver the business development strategy in order to deliver sustainable and profitable growth, in what is already an extremely successful part of our Group.

- Proven Sales and business development experience, meeting and, exceeding targets.
- Proven marketing experience, developing marketing collateral and a programme of campaigns, case studies and sales presentations.
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services to support key customers and new customer targets.
- Proven ability to position products against competitors and have a successful track record of solution selling into a fast-moving retail environment.
- Demonstrable experience as head of Sales and Marketing, with a track record of developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions into the retail sector.
- Inquisitive, creative and innovative by nature
- Driven and self-motivated
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Formulate and develop Sales, BD and Marketing strategy and tactical direction of PPUK.
- Research and identify market changes and new opportunities.
- Be aware of competitor products and activities including new products, strategies and Marketing campaigns.
- Agree budgets and forecasts.
- Identify potential long-term key account opportunities.
- With the support of the Group Marketing function, take the lead in promoting campaigns, developing case studies and the use of Salesforce across the business to provide future lead generation and enhanced sales opportunities.
- Represent the business at trade shows, events and conduct company presentations to customers as required.
- Ability to network across the broader Group businesses and sales community, identifying areas for commercial collaboration, cross-selling and sharing market intel.
- Contribute to ensuring systems are in place to manage health and safety and environmental issues.
Required experience/skills/qualifications:
- Significant and proven B2B sales experience in a trade distributor channel, ideally within a manufacturing, fast paced environment.
- Proven and established leadership sales experience.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Strong decision-making abilities.
- Ideally degree educated.
